SUMMARY:Berlin | Elba Ramalho - 40 Years Of Career
DESCRIPTION:Winner of two Latin Grammy Awards and recipient of the Brazilian Music Award on 16 occasions\, Elba Ramalho has remained\, with remarkable consistency\, one of Brazil’s greatest singers for the past 40 years. She has been a silver bird\, a flower\, a fruit\, and even a landscape. She set the mix ablaze\, led the ciranda\, arranged the balaio\, and has always left everything just the way we like it. \nElba does not sing merely for the sake of singing; she sings to communicate: to tell stories\, to evoke places\, to explain people\, and to reveal a portrait of some of Brazil’s most beautiful sonic landscapes. \nA true representative of Northeastern Brazilian rhythms\, Elba became a singer through Chico Buarque and had the privilege of sharing her journey with Luiz Gonzaga\, Jackson do Pandeiro\, and Dominguinhos.
