Nina, an elderly lady, lives alone in Rio de Janeiro. When she looks out of her window, she sees drug dealing, shootings, shouting and murders happening every day – in full view of everyone. She has had enough of the madness and buys a video camera. One day, she brings sensational footage to the police headquarters. A reporter takes up the case and discovers why the police are so strangely inefficient in this area.
The true story on which this film is based shook Brazil in 2005. The intertwining of reality and fiction in the making of this film was so unique that the film became a box office hit in Brazil.

Nina, uma senhora idosa, mora sozinha no Rio de Janeiro. Quando ela olha pela janela, vê tráfico de drogas, tiroteios, gritaria e assassi- natos acontecendo todos os dias, à vista de todos. Ela se cansa da loucura e compra uma câmera de vídeo. Um dia, ela leva uma filmagem sensacional para a sede da polícia. Um repórter assume o caso e descobre por que a polícia é tão estranhamente ineficiente nessa área.
A história real na qual esse filme se baseia abalou o Brasil em 2005. O entrelaçamento de realidade e ficção na realização desse filme foi tão singular que o filme se tornou um sucesso de bilheteria no Brasil.
